Events
In
2004 this event was held at the Village Coffee Roaster parking
lot. It was a huge success. The Marines had never picked up more
than 300 toys from one location at one time and we collected over
2,500!
We
immediately knew that for 2005 we would need a considerably larger
venue. Only a few places came to mind when we think "big
parking lots" in our area. Countrywide in Westlake Village
really stepped up for the 2005 event and we quickly filled up
their 1000+ space parking lot, and overflowed into the Farmers
huge lot next door! How many toys were collected at the 2005 event?
Over 5,000!
For
2006 our ambitious goal was over 10,000 toys. With generous corporate
donations and the fantastic support from the motorsports community,
we donated over 11,000 toys!
In
2007 you blew us away with an amazing 15,000+ toys!! The generosity
of the motorsports community has been an overwhelming success!
